We are seeking an experienced and versatile Software/Data Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for building secure internal business applications while also designing and maintaining enterprise data pipelines and models using Microsoft Fabric. This is a hands-on position that combines software engineering and data engineering, giving you the opportunity to work across modern cloud technologies and enterprise data platforms.

This is a permanent, remote position based in the Philippines. The successful candidate will work closely with the client's technical team to develop secure internal applications, design scalable data solutions, and support reporting and analytics across the business. This opportunity is ideal for someone with strong experience in Node.js, React, Microsoft Fabric, Azure, SQL, and enterprise data engineering.

To be successful in this role, you must have the following:

• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a Software Engineer (Node.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, React or similar) and/or Data Engineer, with genuine capability across both disciplines.

• Strong expertise in SQL and relational database design.

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric and/or Azure data services (Data Factory, Synapse, OneLake, Power BI).

• Proven experience designing, building, and optimizing enterprise data pipelines and implementing dimensional and medallion data models.

• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Azure, including App Service, networking, Key Vault, and Entra ID.

• Experience implementing Git-based source control and CI/CD workflows using GitHub Enterprise and GitHub Actions.

• Sound understanding of security best practices, including identity management, secrets management, and least-privilege access.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently in a hands-on senior engineering role while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.

Some of the activities you will be involved in will include:

• Build and maintain internal business applications using Node.js/Express and React, hosted on Azure App Service.

• Design and implement PostgreSQL schemas, migrations, and data-access layers following established conventions.

• Implement secure application patterns using Entra ID authentication, Managed Identity, and Key Vault-managed secrets.

• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Enterprise and GitHub Actions.

• Design, build, and maintain data pipelines in Microsoft Fabric, landing data into OneLake as the enterprise single source of truth.

• Implement medallion architecture (bronze/silver/gold) for structured and semi-structured data.

• Build dimensional models (star schema and slowly changing dimensions) to support reporting and analytics.

• Develop and optimize data transformations using Fabric notebooks, dataflows, and pipelines.

• Support Power BI semantic models and datasets built on the Fabric/OneLake foundation.
