We are seeking a Senior UI Designer with strong expertise in website design, UI/UX, and creative development. The ideal candidate has a solid background in visual storytelling, art direction, responsive design, Figma, and accessibility, with the ability to independently lead creative concepts and deliver distinctive, high-quality website designs.
This is a full-time, fully onsite role based at Cebu Business Park (CBP), Cebu City, supporting an Australian digital agency. The position follows a fixed day shift schedule, with working hours aligned with the Australian team's business hours.
Your Client
You'll be supporting an established Australian digital agency specialising in website design and digital solutions for not-for-profit, healthcare, education, government, and purpose-driven organisations. The agency focuses on creating distinctive, accessible, and effective websites that help organisations communicate their purpose, build trust with their audiences, and inspire meaningful action.
To Be Successful in This Role, You Must Have:
At least 6 years of relevant experience in UI design, web design, or a similar senior creative design role, with demonstrated ability to independently lead creative projects.
An exceptional portfolio of live, built websites showing original visual design and a clearly explained personal contribution to concept, art direction, UI, and handover.
Demonstrated ability to independently lead creative concepts and produce distinctive, audience-appropriate digital work.
Excellent visual storytelling, art direction, typography, composition, responsive design, and interaction design skills.
Advanced Figma proficiency, including reusable design systems and developer-ready documentation.
Practical understanding of WCAG 2.2 AA, inclusive UI patterns, and accessibility-first design; ability to explain and demonstrate accessible decisions in real work.
Strong UX literacy, content awareness, technical feasibility judgement, and ability to collaborate effectively with developers.
Excellent spoken and written English, confidence presenting to Australian clients, and sensitivity to Australian audiences and tone.
Strong ownership, initiative, attention to detail, and independent problem-solving; capability demonstrated through work rather than a fixed number of years.
Desirable:
Experience with Australian clients, agencies, not-for-profit organisations, healthcare, education, disability, government, or community services.
Experience working with lived-experience stakeholders or on trauma-informed and culturally sensitive digital projects.
Familiarity with WordPress, Gutenberg, or other component-based content management systems.
Advanced motion design or animation production, relevant Adobe Creative Cloud tools, and ecommerce projects.
Recognised work, award entries, or shortlistings with a verifiable personal contribution.

Lead art direction across typography, colour, composition, imagery, illustration, and iconography.
Present and justify creative decisions, incorporate feedback, and maintain design quality through final creative approval.
Visual Storytelling and Impact
Create engaging website experiences that communicate an organisation's purpose, services, and impact.
Use visual hierarchy, imagery, case studies, and calls to action to simplify complex information, build trust, and encourage engagement.
Adapt visual storytelling to different audiences while maintaining clarity, accessibility, and sensitivity.
Website UI and Interaction Design
Translate approved UX wireframes into polished, responsive desktop and mobile website designs.
Design website navigation, transitions, micro-interactions, and interface states.
Use advanced Figma features, including Auto Layout, components, variables, and prototyping, to maintain organised and reusable design systems.
Contribute to brand identity refinements and supporting creative assets when needed.
Accessibility, Inclusion and Ethical Design
Apply WCAG 2.2 Level AA accessibility principles throughout the design process.
Ensure designs consider colour contrast, readable typography, clear layouts, keyboard-friendly interactions, and responsive accessibility.
Follow The A11Y Project guidelines and incorporate inclusive, culturally respectful, and audience-sensitive design practices.
Collaborate with UX, developers, and QA to support accessibility and inclusive user experiences.
Collaboration, Handover and Quality
Work closely with Project Managers, UX Designers, Account Managers, developers, and clients to support smooth project delivery.
Present design concepts, explain creative decisions, and respond constructively to feedback.
Prepare organised Figma files, responsive specifications, and design documentation for developers.
Review implemented websites for visual consistency, responsiveness, functionality, and accessibility, coordinating revisions where needed.
Initiative and Professional Standards
Take ownership of creative deliverables, priorities, and deadlines across multiple projects.
