This opportunity is ideal for someone with strong SAP functional expertise, business process analysis skills, and experience supporting enterprise applications. You will collaborate with business stakeholders and IT teams to optimise system performance, deliver enhancements, improve reporting capabilities, and drive continuous process improvement across the organisation.

Through its commitment to operational excellence, sustainability, and continuous improvement, PanAust leverages enterprise technologies to support critical business functions across finance, operations, project management, and business intelligence. As part of the Information Systems team, you will play a key role in supporting and enhancing SAP and associated business systems that enable efficient decision-making and business performance across the organisation.

To be successful in this role, you must have experience with the following:

  • Strong functional knowledge of SAP ERP and associated business applications.

  • Experience supporting Finance, Project Systems, Business Intelligence, or related enterprise business functions.

  • Proven experience gathering business requirements and translating them into functional specifications.

  • Strong understanding of business process analysis, system configuration, and continuous improvement methodologies.

  • Experience performing root cause analysis, troubleshooting system issues, and delivering sustainable solutions.

  • Experience preparing functional documentation, process blueprints, user guides, and system documentation.

  • Experience coordinating or supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT), system testing, and integration testing.

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to work across business and technical teams.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently within a collaborative environment.

Desirable

  • Experience supporting SAP implementations, upgrades, or enhancement projects.

  • Exposure to reporting and dashboard solutions using Business Intelligence tools.

  • Experience with master data governance and enterprise data management.

  • Familiarity with change management and user training initiatives.

  • Experience working within the mining, resources, manufacturing, or heavy industry sectors.

Some of the activities you will be involved in will include:

  • Acting as the primary point of contact for SAP functional support and associated business systems.

  • Providing business analysis, functional support, and system enhancements across Finance, Projects, and Business Intelligence functions.

  • Investigating system incidents through root cause analysis and implementing both short-term resolutions and long-term improvements.

  • Ensuring SAP configuration remains consistent, effective, and aligned with business requirements.

  • Identifying opportunities to optimize business processes and improve system functionality.

  • Developing functional specifications to support future system enhancements and development activities.

  • Maintaining business process documentation, functional blueprints, training materials, and system support documentation.

  • Coordinating and supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT), system testing, and integration testing for new enhancements.

  • Collaborating with stakeholders to define reporting requirements, dashboards, and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Supporting business users through training, system guidance, and change management.
